French resort looks for ‘creamers’
Posted on Apr 13, 2010 under Blog update, Travel news | No CommentThat doesn’t sound right. But it’s in France so it must be ok. An Atlantic resort is actually seeking applicants for the position of suntan lotion applier.
Les Sables d’Olonne, is offering €850 (£750) a week to one man and one woman to rub lotion on to tourists from mid-July to late August.
The two “creamers”, as they are called in French, will be picked by a jury in June after pre-selection by voting on the internet. The winners are expected to be outgoing, with good language skills and some medical knowledge (you’d better know what to do if you get it in their eye).
“We are recruiting two young people who will apply crème solaire and above all advise tourists on protection,” said François Boche, the director of the town’s tourist office. Applicants must have sunny disposition and can apply at lejobdelete.com.
